About me
I’m a researcher at the University of Nottingham’s Rights Lab, working on how climate change, supply chains, and modern slavery connect. My day-to-day involves a mix of quantitative methods and data visualizations related to climate modeling, network analysis, supply-chain mapping, and life cycle assessment. I’ve applied these across quite different industries, from food systems and solar panels to brick kilns.
Took a bit of a detour getting here. I’m an Industrial Engineer and started as a business consultant, mostly in business intelligence and Enterprise Resource Planning implementations. Somewhere along the way I started asking what we were actually measuring, and whether profit was the right scorecard. That question pulled me toward sustainability research, and I’ve stayed there.
My research interests focus on sustainability, data science, and complex systems. I am convinced that by combining these areas, we can understand wicked problems and generate better information for improved decision-making.
I’m a visual person; I love data visualizations.
